Each kindergarten has a teaching team that is usually made up of one Head Teacher and two other full-time Teachers.
Other support staff (such as Teacher Aides, Relievers, Administrators and Funding or Finance Support personnel) also assist the kindergartens where required.
Teacher Aides assist the teaching team in the operation of the kindergarten.
For example:
- Sorting and maintaining the art, music and science resource areas, blocks/manipulative equipment, family corner etc
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the outdoor area e.g sweeping of sand, resourcing materials and equipment for the carpentry table, raking of bark under swings etc
Office Administrators assist the teaching team with the office administration within the kindergarten.
For example:
- Managing the waiting list and enrolments e.g meeting with new parents, processing enrolment forms
- Arranging kindergarten excursions
- Updating the food register
- Typing of kindergarten newsletter
- Managing donation payments and updating of info-care
- Assisting with the preparation of the roll registers
